Baggage Check-In Time

Cut-off deadlines also apply to baggage. They are important to ensure a punctual departure. At this point, you have to be checked in either through online-, mobile- or automatic check-in and in the possession of your boarding pass as well as have checked your bags. The deadlines may vary depending on the departure airport, destination and class. To save time, depending on the airline, you can also check your bags when checking-in online starting at about 48 hours before departure so that you can enjoy your drive to the airport with your boarding pass. You can then drop your bags off at the baggage machine. You must register excess- or special baggage in time (at the latest 24 hours before the flight). Please inform yourself about the regulations of your airline prior of your flight.

Note that additional costs may apply and these are usually higher if you register it at the departure gate.
